A monthly report on Irish and comparative European pharma and health data: trade, approvals, safety, clinical trials, prescribing, waiting lists, research, procurement and the environment. Every figure is computed by code from the open Airmid Éireann datasets, and each edition is archived with its own DOI.
MonthlyOne edition a month, each figure for the latest complete period its source has published.
OpenBuilt only from openly licensed data, with every publisher and licence credited.
ReproducibleSame data release and same code give the same numbers. File checksums are published.
CitableEach edition gets a DOI on publication, and the data release has its own.

Sparklines show the last 24 periods in each source. Units and sources for every indicator are in the edition. Percentage changes are not given where a count is below 20.
Each edition is produced by two scripts in the open airmed repository, run on one fixed Airmid Éireann data release. The scripts read the released CSV files, apply a fixed definition to each indicator and write the figures, the series behind the charts and a record of every input file with its checksum.
Nobody types a figure. The text on the edition page is filled from the report file when the page is shown, so the words and the data cannot drift apart.
Scientific rules
Computed by code from a named dataset and field, with the computation stored.
Reference periods are shown next to every figure, such as "exports, August 2026", because sources publish with different lags.
Complete months only. Changes are given month on month and year on year only when both periods are complete. Partial months are excluded and flagged.
Describe, not explain. The report describes the data. It does not explain causes and gives no medical advice.
Small counts are flagged: the count is stated and percentage changes are left out below 20.
Projections
Statistical projection based on past patterns. Not a prediction of events and not advice.
Some editions add short projections for a few monthly series. They extend past patterns with standard statistical models and show the uncertainty as bands. A series is projected only when its model passes a fixed gate, and the gate is the same for every series and every edition.
In rolling-origin backtests, the model beats the seasonal naive benchmark (same month last year), and the plain naive one, by at least 5% on scaled error (MASE), and its MASE is below 1.
The 80% interval contained at least 65% of the backtest outcomes.
The series has at least 36 months of complete history.
Every published projection is scored in later editions in an accuracy log, including the misses.
Data and downloads
Every edition can be downloaded as JSON and CSV from the archive above. The underlying data is the Airmid Éireann open data project, released at /opendata/airmid/v1/ (release 1.3.0, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23499798). Each figure credits its publisher, and the licence of each source is listed in the edition.
