Ireland pharmaceutical exports

Ireland exported €6.9bn of medicinal and pharmaceutical products in July 2026, +0.3% on the same month a year earlier, according to the CSO's goods trade figures. Over the last 12 months the total was €90.1bn, 41.8% of everything Ireland exported in goods, with 44% going to USA. These are customs-based goods values (SITC 54); the CSO revises the most recent months in later releases, and comparisons with 2025 are affected by the exceptionally large shipments in the first half of that year, visible in the monthly table.

What these figures are. Trade values are the CSO's customs-based merchandise trade statistics for SITC division 54, medicinal and pharmaceutical products, in current euro. They do not include services, royalties or intellectual-property flows, and active ingredients classified as organic chemicals (SITC 51) are outside this division.
