In short

Airmid Éireann publishes the public pharma data that Priya Life Science collects as free, open datasets. The first release is live: 10 datasets and 32,975 records as CSV and JSON, each with its source, licence and collection date. The code that collects it follows after review.

The Story

Airmid (also written Airmed) was a healer of the Tuatha Dé Danann and the daughter of Dian Cécht, their physician. Her story is told in Cath Maige Tuired, "The Second Battle of Mag Tuired", a medieval Irish saga.

#1 Grow

The 365 herbs

When her brother Miach died, 365 healing herbs grew from his grave, one for each of his joints and sinews.

Engraved illustration of Airmid kneeling on an Irish hillside, sorting healing herbs into groups on her cloak
#2 Sort

Airmid's cloak

Airmid spread her cloak on the ground and gathered the herbs onto it, sorting each one by its healing power.

#3 Heal

The Well of Sláine

Airmid and her family kept a healing well. The wounded were placed in it and, the story tells, came out whole.

She gathered the healing herbs and put them in order. That is what this project does with Ireland's medicine data.

Mission & Vision

Why Priya Life Science is building an open data project for Ireland.

#1 Mission

Give the facts back

Ireland makes medicines for the world, yet the public facts about that industry are hard to find and harder to use. I started Priya Life Science to bring those facts together and explain them. Airmid Éireann is how we give that work back.

Our mission is to gather Ireland's public pharma data, check it, say exactly where every number comes from, and make it free for anyone to use: students, researchers, journalists, patients and companies.

#2 Vision

One honest source

One trusted, open source of pharma data for Ireland and Europe, where nothing is invented, every figure can be traced to its source, and mistakes are corrected in public.

We want the next student writing a thesis, the next journalist checking a claim and the next company choosing Ireland to start from the same open, honest data.

Never Shared

Open does not mean careless. These stay out of Airmid Éireann, and here is why.

  1. // 01

    Personal names and contact details

Investigators, staff, officers and journalists are never included, even when a source publishes them.

  2. // 02

Data we may show only on our own site

NICE appraisal facts, German shortage notices (BfArM) and Japanese trial records (jRCT) were licensed to Priya Life Science for our pages. They are not ours to pass on.

  3. // 03

Data with unclear or restrictive terms

GMP certificates from EudraGMDP, third-party headcount lists and market prices stay out until their owners allow it.

  4. // 04

    Leaflet and guidance text

Patient leaflets, SmPCs and guidance documents belong to their publishers. We link to them instead.

Principles

How we work, and what you can hold us to.

#1

Nothing invented

If a figure is not in a source, it is not in Airmid Éireann. Gaps are shown as gaps.

#2

Every number has a source

Each dataset names its publisher, its licence and the date it was collected.

#3

Mistakes fixed in public

Errors we correct are recorded on our corrections log.

#4

Privacy first

No personal names or contact details, ever.

FAQs

Short answers to the questions we hear most.

Is Airmid Éireann free?

Yes. The data is free to use, share and build on, under the open licence of each source. Credit the source and Airmid Éireann. The collection code will follow under the EU Public Licence.

Is it available now?

Yes. The first release has 10 datasets and 32,975 records, free to download as CSV and JSON at priyalifescience.com/opendata/airmid/v1/, with a catalog.json index. The code that collects it will be published after review.

How often is it updated?

Each release records the date it was collected, shown on every dataset. The catalog and this page always show the current release; the changelog lists what changed.

Why not share everything you collect?

Some data was licensed to us only for our own pages, some contains personal details, and some has terms that do not allow passing it on. We publish only what we are allowed to, and we say why the rest is left out.

Is this medical advice?

No. Airmid Éireann describes medicines, trials and the industry using public records. It is not medical advice. Always ask a doctor or pharmacist about treatment.

How do I report an error or suggest a source?

Email info@priyalifescience.com. Errors we fix are recorded on our public corrections log.

Who runs it?

Priya Life Science, an Irish life-science publisher founded by Sreepriya. The project will be open to contributors once the code is public.
