Founded in 1982, Parexel is a global biopharmaceutical services organization operating in 100+ countries. Its Dublin office at One Kilmainham Square opened in 2015 as a "global decision-making hub" housing clinical, technology, legal, consulting and logistics staff, registered locally as Parexel International (IRL) Limited.

PPD became part of Thermo Fisher Scientific following a $17.4 billion acquisition completed in December 2021. Its Athlone, Co. Westmeath facility is a GMP laboratory providing analytical testing for clinical and marketed products across the EMEA region, expanded to add cell and gene therapy testing capacity. A January 2024 restructuring closed a supply depot at the site (around 100 roles), but Thermo Fisher stated the GMP laboratory itself was unaffected and it remains committed to the site's growth.

Formed in 2018 through the merger of INC Research and inVentiv Health, Syneos Health combines clinical development with commercialization services for biopharma clients. Taken private in September 2023 in a ~$7.1 billion transaction led by Elliott Investment Management, Patient Square Capital and Veritas Capital. Maintains a registered Irish entity and Dublin-based clinical project management staff at Riverside One.
