01GetReskilled list and our site censusThe first 213 manufacturing sites, with their product focus and most of the headcounts on this page, come from GetReskilled's public list of pharmaceutical and medical device factories in Ireland. The headcounts are theirs and carry no date. In its site census of 30 September 2026 the desk checked 298 entries one by one against company, regulator and news sources; 107 of them were sites missing from the list, which were added. Each checked entry links to the source used. The map now shows 331 manufacturing sites. 1 plant recorded as closed (AlbyPharma) is held in the dataset but not mapped.
02EudraGMDP (EMA and HPRA)The EU register of manufacturing and importation authorisations, operated by the European Medicines Agency and filled for Ireland by the HPRA. It supplies the licensed site name, street address, Eircode, authorisation number and last GMP inspection date for 46 sites here. It covers medicines only, so medical device plants are not in it.
03EPA Ireland LEAPIndustrial Emissions and IPC licence profiles with site addresses, read from the EPA's open data API (CC BY 4.0). Licence status is re-read every week; 83 sites are linked. The employee range for 35 sites is built on the number the operator reported to the EPA for 2024, as published by the European Environment Agency (CC BY 4.0).
04OpenStreetMapCoordinates resolved through Nominatim against OpenStreetMap data (ODbL 1.0). 147 pins land on the facility, 82 on its business park or street, 169 on its town and 13 on the county centroid. 10 pins have been checked by hand.
05Research and service companies80 research companies, diagnostics firms, CDMOs and service providers listed in the BioPharmGuy Ireland directory, a third-party listing. Each is pinned to the town the directory states, not to a verified building, and is drawn as a small hollow marker so it is never mistaken for a licensed plant.
