Ireland exported €90.1bn of pharmaceuticals in the 12 months to July 2026, 41.8% of all its goods exports, according to the CSO. In 2025, 96,848 people worked in Irish pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, 86% of them in foreign-owned firms.
