People with Parkinson's disease (PD) may have difficulty stopping or changing their movements, especially when walking around obstacles.
The goal of this observational study is to learn if a specific cognitive function, called inhibitory control (the ability to stop or control actions) is associated with gait adaptability in people with Parkinson's disease. Gait adaptability means the ability to adjust how a person walks in response to changes in the environment, such as stepping over obstacles.
The main questions the study aims to answer are:
* If brain activation related to inhibitory control, measured by EEG, is associated with gait adaptability during obstacle crossing in people with Parkinson's disease?
* If behavioral inhibitory control is associated with gait adaptability during obstacle crossing in people with Parkinson's disease?
Participants take part in one study visit. During this visit, participants complete simple thinking tests, have their brain activity recorded using EEG, and perform walking tasks that include stepping over obstacles.

Primary outcome measure(s)
Event-related potential - N2 — 1 day Measure event-related potential through electroencephalography during the Go/No-go test
Event-related potential - P300 — 1 day Measure event-related potential through electroencephalography during the Go/No-go test
Stroop color and word test — 1 day Record numbers of corrected color words which the subject responds within 45 sec
Step width — 1 day Using the GAITRite system to measure step width
Stride length/Step length — 1 day Using the GAITRite system to measure stride length and step length during obstacle crossing
Single support time — 1 day Using the GAITRite system to measure single support time during obstacle crossing
Gait speed — 1 day Gait speed during obstacle crossing was measured using the GAITRite system. Continuous obstacle-crossing walking performance was assessed using the GaitUp system.
Stride length — 1 day Using the GaitUp system to measure stride length during continuous obstacle-crossing walking.
Swing phase — 1 day Using the GaitUp system to measure swing phase during continuous obstacle-crossing walking.
Swing width — 1 day Using the GaitUp system to measure swing width during continuous obstacle-crossing walking.
Four Square Step Test — 1 day The Four Square Step Test is a test used to assess the ability to step over objects and measures the time in seconds to navigate all four squares.
